This course, hosted by RC SELPA, prepares participants to assess students with complex communication needs who may benefit from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Through in-person and online sessions and guided coaching, participants will complete an AAC assessment using a class-provided template. Upon successful completion, they will earn a 45-hour certificate. Optional 3.0 Graduate Level PDUs are available for an additional fee. (Note: This course does not cover assistive technology.) Attendance is required for ALL SESSIONS in the Series. You are not able to mix/match sessions. If an attendee does not complete the course, their district will be responsible for the full cost.
